Advanced Skill Enhancement Programme in Nursing (ASEP-N)
ASEP-N (Advanced Skill Enhancement Programme in Nursing) is a collaborative initiative of Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation Ltd (KSWDC), Centre for Management Development (CMD), and Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants (ODEPC). We aim to develop essential Advanced Nursing skills for nurses, aligning them with global standards and thereby empowering them to grab career opportunities abroad.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Post-graduation/Graduation in Nursing, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Registered nurses are eligible to apply. Age: No Age Bar
Admission
The admission process for the ASEP-N program includes the following details:
Batch Size:
The ASEP-N program accommodates 30 trainees, with 90% of the capacity reserved for women.
Online Screening Test:
Candidates opting for English Language Training will undergo an online screening test conducted by ODEPC.
Preliminary English Training:
A 5-day (10 hours) Preliminary English training by REACH is available to help candidates prepare for the English screening test (Fee: Rs. 500/-).
Fees Structure
The admission process for the ASEP-N program includes the following details:
Registration Fees:
Rs. 250/- (Paid at the time of Registration)
ASEP-N with English Language Training (ELT):
Rs. 22,420/-* (includes GST)
ASEP-N without English Language Training (ELT):
Rs. 14,160/-* (includes GST)
Course Fee Refund:
Course fees (Rs12,000/-) will be refunded fractionally or completely to the candidates after the successful completion of the ASEP-N course
(subject to terms and conditions).*

If needed, candidates have the option to avail of a loan from KSWDC at a 3.5% interest rate.
Note:
The course fees can be paid in full or in two installments:
- Rs. 11,800/- at the time of joining English Communication training
- Rs. 10,620/- after 2 months, i.e., before Nursing modules.
Mode of Training
The ASEP-N programme offers flexible modes of training to accommodate various learning preferences. The modes of training are as follows:
Training:
ASEP-N offers both online and offline training modes. Participants can access course materials, attend lectures, and engage in interactive sessions online. This flexible approach enables convenient and self-paced learning. Recorded Classes available in portal.
Observership:
The observership component of the program is conducted offline. Participants have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in MD ICU for a duration of 6 weeks to 6 months in Govt. Medical Colleges. This practical training enhances skills application and provides valuable exposure in the field.
Duration of course
The ASEP-N programme consists of seven modules, with a total duration of 21 weeks and a maximum commitment of 48 hours per week. The breakdown of the modules is as follows:
Module I:
IELTS/OET Training - 8 weeks
Module II:
Personality and Soft Skill Training - 2 weeks
Module III:
Basic IT Skills - 1 week
Module IV:
Basic Nursing Skills - 1 week
Module V:
Emergency and Critical Care Nursing Skills - 2 weeks
Module VI:
Infection Control and Patient Safety - 1 week
Module VII:
Clinical Training (Observership at MDICUs of Govt. Medical Colleges- 6 weeks/6 months.)
